The Project | Studio Cassells partnered with Globe Creative to design ‘Living Tech’, an exhibition exploring how smart applications and innovative technologies optimize daily life. Focused on Transport, Living, and Food, the gallery translates complex science into intuitive experiences. It bridges heritage with future-proof design, inspiring visitors to rethink sustainable urban living.

Smart Transport & MTR Innovation

The “Smart Transport” zone immerses visitors in simulated station concourses. Interactive exhibits like the Train Car Loading Indicator and Cross-Harbour Easy demonstrate how AI and big data ensure safer, smoother daily commutes.

The Evolution of Flight

The gallery houses the museum’s first collection item, the DC-3 airplane “Betsy”. This iconic centrepiece serves as a narrative anchor, allowing visitors to trace the dramatic evolution of aviation technology through history.

Future Foods & Sustainable Diets

Developed with the University of Hong Kong, this zone invites visitors to rethink their diets. Exhibits showcase future staples like cultured meat, seaweed, and GMOs, addressing global food security through scientific innovation.

 

Eco-Conscious Materials & Living

The gallery highlights ground breaking research in sustainable materials. These exhibits demonstrate how eco-conscious architecture and emission-free cooling technologies are revolutionizing the modern home.

Sustainable Architecture by Foster + Partners

Featuring intricate building models, this section examines biophilic design and innovative construction. Visitors explore how climate-responsive architecture and workplace flexibility can create more sustainable, human-centric urban environments for the future.
